On Marriage

The beauty of marriage is caring
with a love that grows through the years,
The sweetness of marriage is sharing
the laughter, the hopes, and the tears.

The strength of marriage is trusting
with a faith that is constant and true,
The comfort of marriage is knowing
that somebody cares about you.

The joy of marriage is building
a world that is all your own ~
in a home made of
faith,
hope,
and courage,
with love as the cornerstone.


 

  

A million tomorrows
wouldn't hold enough time
for me to tell you
how much I love you.

A brilliant sunset
melting into twilight
is breathtaking,
but it still doesn't come close
to the beauty I see
when I look into your eyes.

A deep green meadow
dancing with wildflowers
fills my heart with tranquility,
but it doesn't compare
to the quiet peace I feel
wrapped in your arms.

A midnight sky
scattered with thousands of silver stars
holds countless hopes and dreams,
but even a sky full of stars
can't hold all the dreams
I want to fulfill with you,
all the gifts of love
I want to share with you.

You Gave Me

You gave me a sweeping castle
made of sparkling stones
I wanted to share it's magic
but you had left me all alone!

You gave me a white unicorn
to fly me though the air
but something was missing
you were never there!

You gave me a million seashells
and a sparkling moonlit sea
but you flat out refused
to go walking there with me!

You gave me crystal slippers
so I could dance the whole night through
but the music had no rhythm
since I couldn't dance with you!

You offered me the world
but your soul I could not touch
and without your heart to love me
nothing's worth that much!

Field of Dreams

As I was walking in a Field of Dreams, Here is where we can be anything.
Together we walk along a whispering stream, And we can listen to the sounds it brings.
Then walk with me among the wild flowers, It is here I could spend so many hours.
Dreaming that you are here with me, And feeling so happy and care free.
Birds sing sweetly in the Field of Dreams, But only we dreamers hear them it seems.
In the Field of Dreams I can feel you close, In my mind you're here, I like that most.
Your smiling face shines so clear in my mind, As you hold me close in this dreamland of mine.
A fantasy of a hug in your loving arms, A dream that lives in your real charms.
The gentle sweetness of your dreamy kisses, Is made of my Field of Dreams good wishes.
And the Honey Bees are so busy here too, From flowers they make honey as sweet as you.
Walking in this field of my most secret dreams, Is the only place where our love always gleams.
It only comes as a dream in my mind, A place that only I dare to dream I find.
Standing in this Field of Dreams sweet kisses, Making this real is one of my wishes.
You can make wishes that you wish it seems.
But you must have your own Field of Dreams.

She stands on the edge of a forest Raises her head to the sky
Sees a full moon overhead And within it's brightness The face of the man she loves
Haunted eyes searching the woods surrounding her Haunted ears seeking a sound
And then it comes Riding the sound of the wind That which she has longed to hear
Perhaps it is a dream? Perhaps it is just her longing?
Perhaps it is the ache within her heart? Perhaps it is her hopes?
As the wind howls through the trees Hair blowing she raises her hand
Tendrils of mist float eerily around her finger tips As she reaches towards the sound
Towards the haunting melody Towards his song And yet... She remains alone
Standing in the woods Waiting Watching Hoping Listening

Children In The Mist

Children in the mist
sheltered from the storm
together but alone
figures without form

Children in the mist
exploring hidden places
seeing something different
in one another's faces

Children in the mist
searching for the truth
with pure loving hearts
and the innocence of youth

Children in the mist
healing each other's pain
her smile is haunting him
he shields her from the rain

reaching out for something

ON LOVE

Love gives naught but itself
and takes naught but from itself.
Love possesses not nor would it be possessed;
For love is sufficient unto love.

When you love you should not say, "God is in my heart,"
but rather, " I am in the heart of God."
And think not you can direct the course of love,
for love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course.

Love has no other desire but to fulfil it self.
But if you love and must needs have desires,
let these be your desires:

To melt and be like a running brook
that sings its melody to the night.
To know the pain of too much tenderness.
To be wounded by your own understanding of love;
And the bleed willingly and joyfully.
To wake at dawn with a winged heart
and give thanks for another day of loving;
To rest at the noon hour and meditate love's ecstasy;
To return home at eventide with gratitude;
And then to sleep with a prayer
for the beloved in your heart
and song of praise upon your lips.

Dreams Of You

Last night I lay alone in bed,
and wondered what to do.
As sleep possessed my weary head,
my dreams all turned to you...

I saw the sparkle in your eye,
and an impish little grin.
My breath became a raged sigh,
that's how dreams of you begin...

On sandy shores of a crystal lake,
walking snuggled close together.
I pray to the gods "don't let me wake",
wishing dreams would last forever...

How I long to hold you in my arms,
let you never leave my sight.
My heart's been captured by your charms,
